The Resource and Innovation Centre in Chablais (CRIC) is the result of the Chablais Economic Agency’s (AEC), desire to support the region’s productive economic actors in their drive to improve their skills (discovery and appropriation of new technologies for the industry of the future), to pool resources (machines, skills), as well as their desire to get to know each other better. Today, eleven companies, including Brown Fintube Francea subsidiary of AIT-STEIN GROUP located in Thonon-les-Bains, the Chablais vocational school, three intercommunal structures, the State and the Region are all supporting the project alongside the AEC.

Focusing on the development of the Chablais region’s local economy, this project has 4 main objectives:

  • Create a Chablais Resource Centre to allow productive businesses to find the answers to their technical and technological questions.
  • Develop an inter-company network for innovation, design and manufacture.
  • Encourage innovative collaborations between economic actors in the Chablais region: Project initiators / very small businesses and SMEs / Major groups / Vocational Training
  • Create an emulation and the first innovation centre for companies in the Chablais region by drawing on regional expertise and thus promoting start-up development.

AIT-STEIN GROUP, a founding member of the CRIC, is delighted to support this tool that will provide a gateway to the issues facing local businesses and future entrepreneurs. This new centre will be established in a 100 sqm workshop equipped with 3D printers, laser cutting, 3D scanning as well as tools and computers equipped with CAD software (Solidworks, Autocad).
