We were commissioned to design, manufacture and install a boiler at the Novawood site in Laneuveville-devant-Nancy. In an effort to make the energy transition of the Novacarb site, in partnership with Engie Solutions, Seqens is currently carrying out an installation for the combined production of green electricity and high-performance heat that respects the environment. The completion of the work on the biomass cogeneration plant (reclaimed wood) is scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2022.
The key role of our boiler in the operation of the biomass cogeneration plant.
Our auxiliary boilerwill have a support role “backup” to be able to maintain the temperature in the production networks. Adapted to the energy needs of the site, it will be used in particular during the maintenance shutdowns of the biomass cogeneration plant. Thanks to Stein Energy’s expertise, our solution will be responsive and will take over in less than three minutes (66 T/h of steam). It will thus avoid a production stoppage to meet the constant needs of the site all year round. Having a reliable back-up facility is necessary to ensure the operation of the biomass cogeneration plant without interruption.
One-piece delivery on site : exceptional logistics.
Transported on its side of a single block in an exceptional category 3 convoy from our workshop in Cernay (Haut-Rhin) to the construction site, a 500-tonne crane was deployed to move the boiler about 14 meters long, 5.5 meters wide and 7.4 meters high for 61 tons. It was lifted from the convoy and placed back on the trailer after entering the site (too large to penetrate by the weighbridges). Then it was, a second time, lifted and tilted by means of two cranes in order to be put in position and placed at its final place.
