The Group took advantage of the opportunity created by the integration of France Thermique Environnement and the ANSYS offer to recoup the investment made in 2011 in ANSYS CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics: software for computational fluid dynamics simulations). This will make it possible to centralize existing resources within the Group and strengthen its computing capabilities using numerical simulations implementing the finite-element method.

These existing resources (shared between AIT/COMECO/BFF/STEIN) and those of France Thermique Environnement are complementary and are now shared among all Group entities based in France. We are now able to simultaneously perform flow simulation calculations (FSC) and simulation of thermomechanical behaviour with improved tools:

-Increased computing power from 4 to 12 cores

-Addition of non-existing (or more restricted) features in the current package (Modeler/Solver),

This opportunity will allow us to improve our expertise by multiplying the number of trained users and the use for simulations in unusual and complex situations.

Improved expertise offers better returns and a greater return on investment. But not only that, as the Group’s teams will be more effective, and it will be able to diversify and expand its capabilities. In other words, it is a powerful agent for development.
